The Rafiki Institute of Art (RIA) is an integral part of the Rafiki Foundation's plan to bring Christian classical education to Africa.
Rafiki operates Christian classical Pre-K through 12th grade schools and teacher training programs in each of our Villages in 10 African countries.
Both our school and teacher training curricula include full-orbed art programs overseen by the RIA Dean, including art history, appreciation, and creating two-dimensional art such as drawing, painting, or mixed media.
Village resident orphan children and impoverished children from the surrounding communities receive a world class Christian classical education in our established, well-equipped schools.
The teacher trainees receive a free three-year college education qualifying them as Christian classical educators, equipping them to transform education in Africa.
In addition to Art education, the RIA Dean also oversees the Widows Program in each country. This involves helping with the design and quality control of handcrafted products made by poor women of our African church partners—helping hundreds of women economically and spiritually.
These postings are typically staffed by missionaries who commit to a minimum of one year on the field.
