My Name is
Joshua
Joshua
Joshua was abandoned by his sixteen-year-old mother who was mentally challenged and frequently left him with strangers. Social welfare services recommended him to Rafiki, and he arrived at the Rafiki Village Ghana in 2002. Joshua has learning difficulties, but he is one of the most motivated young people at the Village and in his special education school. He is a helpful young man, always willing to lend a hand to those in need. After school, he hopes to work as a carpenter. His favorite hymn is “Hallelujah, Thine the Glory” because it teaches him to praise God in all circumstances every day. Joshua prays that God will give him wisdom and knowledge and that he will be obedient to those in authority.
