“Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you” (Psalm 116:7).
“…whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully” (2 Corinthians 9:6).
Festivals like Thanksgiving are times when we get to be grateful for the blessings we have been given. In doing a quick search of the word “bountifully” in the Bible, there are a few instances in Psalm and the one I mentioned from 2 Corinthians. Often, this passage “whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully” is used as churches or missionaries are trying to raise support. Maybe you have even felt guilt-tripped by the use of this verse. However, this time I want to emphasize that you all HAVE given so bountifully, and the Lord continues to take care of my needs and those of the Village in Rwanda through your generosity. What a beautiful partnership we get to have!
I am overwhelmed by the bounty that God is giving through you to me, and I am deeply grateful! Please enjoy the picture representations of the bountiful fruit of the harvest.

Specific reasons I am thankful
- The Lord is sustaining me through very busy days to prioritize tasks and do what needs to be done.
- I have been able to join an ex-pat choir in Kigal singing, making friends, and even performing in some Christmas concerts!
- Recent growth I have seen in my teachers to use virtue-focused discipline in their classes.
Please pray for
- Our twelveth grade students as they begin preparing for their national exams.
- The end of term business to remain rooted in the peace of God.
- More people to come out to serve the Lord as long- and short-term missionaries overseas!
May you truly witness God’s bounty for yourself through your life as you continue to be generous with your time, money, and prayers.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
