We want to give you a brief update on our progress on going to Africa with the Rafiki Foundation. We were in Eustis, Florida for a ten day Survival Camp in July. This training was intensive, yet helpful for equipping us for our ministry on the field. On our first day, it was confirmed that we are being sent to Ethiopia. Marty will serve as the Village Administrator and Headmaster of the school. Jan will assist Marty in his role as Headmaster and possibly help with the Widow’s Program.

We are needed in Ethiopia in November 2025! This creates an urgency that we are depending on God to work out. Here are some prayer requests.

• That we either sell our home or find a good renter. Ideally, we would like that all to be settled by the end of September.
• Our support is starting to grow, but to leave for the field, we need to have $15,000 in support in place. We have a little more than $3,000 at present. Also, we need to have between 50-70% of our annual support promised. We are at 8% right now.
• That we release all this to God, being faithful daily to what must be done, but trusting in God and not ourselves.

The affirmation and encouragement we have been receiving has blessed us. Each day we are more assured that God is leading us, and we anticipate being on the plane for Ethiopia in November, in awe of all God did to get us there.
