Ishaku December 2024
“Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant” (1 Kings 8:56).
Greetings from Nigeria!
As the year comes to a close, the cold winds are making their way through Jos. We are writing to you bundled up drinking ginger tea and thanking God for all He has done this year. This holiday season, we encourage you to do the same. Find a quiet place with the people you love, remove as many distractions as possible, and speak about the promises of God you have seen fulfilled in 2024. Let us adore Him!
Here is a quick recap of some of the things that happened this year that we did not get a chance to share from all of the departments in the Rafiki Village Nigeria.
We hired our first female security guard. She has been a great addition for the staff, students, and all of us here.
Rose, the security guard
We are always grateful for your consistent donations. The meals they supply in the Village are such a necessity. Many of our students only eat what is given in school, so we thought we would share a shot of just one of the delicious meals being served.
Grateful for a good meal
We have thirteen new schools implementing the Rafiki Education System. Five of them recently came for curricular training and it was great.
Outreach training
As usual, Shakiyla will soon make her way to the U.S. for fundraising, meetings, and family visits. She would love the chance to speak at some of your churches and small groups. It was a great experience for her last year, and she is already making plans on what to share during this upcoming trip. Unfortunately, I (Ishaku) will not join her. I was not able to get a VISA this year. Please pray for us as we continue the application process so that one day I may meet the rest of her family and many of you.

If you would like to have Shakiyla visit you next year in February, please send her an email with the dates and any other information that can help her get set up.
The year has come and gone and we are thanking God for his faithfulness. Merry Christmas to you all and Happy New Year!
