Gozé December 2025
Throughout Africa, there is a need for education based on sound doctrine and classical thinking. The Rafiki Foundation is a Reformed Christian ministry that seeks to meet these educational and spiritual needs in ten different African countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
The name “Rafiki” is Swahili for “friend,” and the word “friend” summarizes Rafiki’s mission of helping people know God and raise their standard of living. The Rafiki Foundation has been working with the African church for over forty years to help the people of Africa through six programs: Orphan Care, Bible Study, Education, Teachers Colleges, Widows Program, and Outreach. At each Rafiki Village, missionaries and national staff are teaching the children and the future teachers of Africa with classical Christian education.
As a Christian, I am called to ministry wherever the Lord places me, whether I am at home in Northwest Arkansas, in school at College of the Ozarks, or in another country. After college, I believe that the Lord is calling me to work overseas with the Rafiki Foundation. The opportunity to work with the Rafiki Foundation aligns with my interests to teach English at a classical school, to explore the world further through travel, to understand a culture different from my own, and to grow closer to the Lord by bearing His image and saying “yes” to the challenges He sets before me.
Lord willing, I will set off for Africa after my graduation from College of the Ozarks in May of 2026. My first task when serving in Africa is to support the long-term missionaries who are already established there. I will also teach, help in administration duties, and assist at the Rafiki Institute of Classical Education (RICE)—the teachers college on the Rafiki campus.

Please pray for strength as I train for mission work with Rafiki and for continual discernment as I learn where I am most needed in Africa. The goal is to fund raise $12,000 for a year-long commitment to whatever country I am sent to. I will spend most of my time in the Rafiki Villages where my housing, food, and transportation will be provided for me. If you would like to support me either with a one time donation or a monthly contribution, you can visit https://RafikiFoundation.org/missionary-detail/Trinity-Goze-4016.
