“Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4).
Beautiful view from my door of a moonlit night
A lot has been happening here since I last wrote. It is hard to decide what to tell you about without overwhelming you with too many details! I hope to update you, though, so you can be in awe with me about all the Lord is accomplishing.
Our Rafiki resident children continue to grow, graduate, and make a difference in their communities. We are so thankful of reports of them sharing the Gospel on their campuses.
These young men are in first, second, and third year of tertiary education!
As these young men and women leave the Village, we continue to welcome younger students into the Rafiki School. These children are day students from the communities surrounding our Village who attend Rafiki School on full scholarships or subsidies. With the help of these funds, children receive an excellent classical Christian education, daily Bible study, two nutritious meals per day, and basic school supplies.

News of Rafiki School Zambia continues to spread throughout our area, and most of our younger grades have waiting lists. For a child in Zambia, education is more than academics. The Rafiki Education System (RES) offers them hope for a brighter future, both academically and spiritually.

We are thankful for the men and women who are pursuing an education at Rafiki Institute of Classical Education (RICE), our teacher training college. These young people are studying hard to become excellent, classically-trained, Christian teachers who will make a difference in Zambian schools. In June, six of them were honored with a graduation celebrating their hard work that earned them a diploma as primary school teachers.

This past March we received a shipment of Bibles, books, Sunday school materials, and Rafiki School Curriculum to be available to equip churches, schools, and homes across the country to be discipled and to be disciplers!
Now, the Lord has graciously supplied Rafiki with a man who is truly knowledgeable about churches, schools, and homes throughout Zambia. The outgoing General Secretary of the Reformed Church in Zambia has joined our Outreach team. Since July, Reverend Dr. William Zulu has been traveling the highways and byways, meeting with leaders of churches and church schools to inform them of the resources Rafiki has available to them. Soon he will be organizing orientation meetings to train leaders how they can use the Rafiki School Curriculum, the Rafiki Bible Study, and Sunday school curriculum. He says, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few!”

I am so thankful for your continued support and interest in what God is doing in Zambia. Please remember to visit the Rafiki Foundation website at RafikiFoundation.org to stay even better informed, and also consider other ways the Lord may be calling you to invest in this work. You can also visit the curriculum website at RafikiEducationSystem.org.
I covet your prayers for
- joy, perseverance, and good health.
- salvation for the many who are hearing the gospel.
- spiritual growth for all our children and staff who know the Lord.
- more workers for the harvest.
God bless you.
