Aluvisia September 2024
We are now writing to you from the Rafiki Village in Rwanda. It has been two months since our family moved from Kenya. We are slowly adjusting to the new environment, but it has been a joy getting to know the children and staff here in Rwanda.

Eric is becoming acquainted with his roles here at the Village and learning about the new projects that need to be done. He will be in charge of plant management and grounds. He will also be leading the Outreach Program with partner churches and schools that are using the Rafiki curriculum. It is a bit of a challenge with a larger language barrier in Rwanda than in Kenya, but we pray that God would use him to reach out to the surrounding community effectively.

Rachel is teaching music. She will be working more once school resumes, and classes begin. The children are very self-motivated and have already done much with music on their own through student-run ensembles. It is encouraging to see their willingness to work hard and use what they have to the best of their ability.

Please pray for us as we continue to adjust. It was very hard to leave Kenya, but we continue to trust God to provide for us and to strengthen us for the task ahead.
May God continue to bless you and keep you.
