Dear friends and family,

I am so excited to share that I have been assigned to serve in Rafiki Village Nigeria as the Assistant RICE Dean and also the principal of the Primary/Preschool. I still have a ways to go, but God willing, I am scheduled to leave during October of this year.

I spent the past two weeks in Eustis, Florida training with former missionaries, current missionaries, and future missionaries! It was humbling to listen to all of the stories and see God’s glory shine through His people. Alongside twelve other members of our team, we got 10,000 books packaged and ready to ship to the schools in all ten of the countries represented by the Rafiki Foundation. There was so much prayer and encouragement floating around the warehouse, it gave me joy to know God’s work was being done and I, in all my brokenness, was able to be a small part of that.

I am thankful for the encouragement I have gotten from everyone following the blog, and I cannot wait to watch it all unfold for God’s glory!

He’s carrying me. He has been, and I am confident He will continue to. One thing that I have been consistently trying to do is share in God’s blessings. During training, I met Allison Grass. She too is going to Africa, but much sooner than I am. She will be serving as the RICE Dean in Malawi, and I ask that you keep her in prayers as well. God sent her when I was least expecting Him to, and I continue to be thankful for such a supernatural friendship.

Please continue to pray for Nigeria. Pray for its leadership, peace, and that God will continue to move in its people. I have only raised about 11% of the funds needed to go out, so be praying that God opens the hearts of His people to walk alongside me. I am con dent that I will be on the eld in His timing, and I am humbled by the fact that God continues to use me. Contact me if you have any questions on ways to get involved.
