As we peer ahead into the near future, we at Rafiki Tanzania dearly hope and pray that it will include the registration and opening of our secondary school. Since first facing the necessity of sending our oldest students offsite for school in 2018, we have prayed and worked earnestly to fulfill every registration requirement. We are ready, but we are still waiting.

Good and perfect gifts for the future school continue to arrive at our Village, and we thank God for them. The funding, design, and materials for three science labs were made available, and work progressed efficiently. The buildings have been standing complete and mostly empty for months. We are ready, but we are still waiting.

Buildings require furnishings. Individual laboratories for biology, chemistry, and physics need stools; so many stools! Our colleague and headmistress Laurie Eastup is thrilled with the stools God has provided through the hands of resident carpenter Alex Masuki. We would love to see a student seated on every one of them. We are ready, but we are still waiting.

Currently three grade levels of Rafiki students are attending the government school each day. Opening our secondary school after registration is approved will mean needing to hire a lot of teachers; enough to cover every subject for grades eight through ten this year alone.

What a perfect gift it is that we have excellent teacher candidates being trained in classical Christian education in the RICE Program right now! We are ready, but we are still waiting.

Please be in prayer with us for God’s timing to arrive for our Secondary School registration to be finalized. We’re asking God to grant this request so that we can continue our task of raising young people to love Him and love learning. Our Rafiki students can shine as lights in the world, reflecting the goodness of the Father of Lights. They are ready, and we are praying.
