Kropf December 2023

“Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods” (Psalm 96:4-5).

As Del and I are wrapping up another year of service to the Lord through Rafiki Foundation we would like to share with you some of the numerous blessings God has granted Rafiki that we have been a part of due to your faithful support.

  • Rafiki Classical Christian Conference—The New Old Way. In October, Rafiki hosted conferences in Uganda and Kenya presenting the need for classical Christian education. We were pleased to minister to over 700 attendees, renewing their zeal for their work and equipping them to better run their schools and resulting in greater interest in our Rafiki Bible Study, classical Christian curriculum, and teacher training. In addition, David Goodwin, President of the Association of Classical Christian Schools, toured one of our schools in Africa and said that this school is like any U.S.A. classical Christian school! We are so thankful that our quality is solid.
  • Crossway Bible Distribution. In 2023, Rafiki shipped over 30,000 Bibles to Africa for distribution among African pastors, women’s ministries, girls’ homes, new believers, and other churches and individuals in need. We look forward to shipping over 100,000 more in 2024! You can read here about the specific impact Rafiki is making with this collaboration with Crossway by searching online for: One Million Bibles “A Drop in the Bucket” with Eternal Significance | Crossway
  • New Widows Group. The Lord allowed us to partner with a widows group in Northern Ghana. This group is made up of 300 women who now all have access to the Rafiki Bible Study (RBS).

  • Rafiki Classical Academy. After many prayers and diligent work, the Academy opened on September 5th. Since then, the students have grown in their knowledge both of academics and of God. We are moving forward with adding classroom space for the 2024/2025 school year. Pray with us on this that the school fills up and God provides the resources to add the modular buildings.
  • Rafiki Bible Study. We continue to ship our Bible study around the world, helping groups and individuals know and love God. We shipped one of our studies to a ministry working in India that is helping African women out of sex trafficking. What a joy to know we are able to help these women.
  • Missionaries. Rafiki Missionaries serve diligently to produce fruit in the work God called them to. Without these exceptional individuals, our 10 Rafiki Villages would not be in operation. We hosted our first online mission training this year and we eagerly anticipate more men and women joining our team!
  • Donors. To you, our donors, we thank you for your support both financially and in prayer. Your support helps offer children education, income to widows, and theologically sound materials to African pastors. Your donation makes a difference!
  • New long-term missionary May Nealey arrived in Liberia at the end of November to begin her service. We plan for her to transition to service in Malawi in April. Please pray for May as she begins to serve, and for many supporters to come alongside her in the work.

We are grateful for the way you have supported the work being done. We hope you will commit to another year of support for us as we serve the Lord through the Rafiki Foundation. We would love for you to visit us here and to give you a tour of the Rafiki Foundation Home Office. Would you consider going on a short-term missions trip to one of our Villages? This is a great way to go serve and encourage the missionaries that live there. Rafiki is now offering an online short-term training program that would allow you to go to Africa and serve. Thank you again!

Praises

  • God faithfulness to equip us for the work He has called us too.
  • The joy that God has given us as we serve Him.

Prayer Requests

  • Lisa’s upcoming travels to West Africa in February. Please pray for strength, health, and her visas would all come in on time.
  • Gods guidance for the training Lisa will be doing with the Rafiki Mothers in the Villages.
  • Wisdom for Del as he works on purchasing and order processing from the missionaries and Rafiki’s Outreach Program.
  • 20 new missionaries in 2024 to go out and serve.
  • All orphans and day students fully sponsored.

We wish you a blessed Christmas season.
