Koepke Dec 2018

Merry Christmas from Carolyn and Doug Koepke at the Rafiki Village in Nigeria.

A preschool girl reported seeing a “MONSTER” in the dining hall! Doug has been monitoring the school lunch room to look for ways to improve in feeding 270 students breakfast and lunch each day. Was Doug the lunchroom “MONSTER” monitor she saw?

We recently received a container full of Reformation Study Bibles! They were sent to us by the Rosemary Jensen Bible Foundation in partnership with Ligonier Ministries. The goal is to provide free study Bibles to pastors, church leaders, and students in African countries. To God be the glory!

Carolyn is overseeing in the schools where our children are taught using Christian classical pedagogy making it fun to learn. We are thankful for Susy and for our newest team member Shakiyla Solomon who is assisting in Rafiki’s ever enlarging school programs.

Our Rafiki Mothers in Nigeria have been reading the Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan in their book club. Christian, the central character, journeys from the City of Destruction to the Celestial City. Along the way he meets an assortment of people who look like they are helping him find the Celestial City, but are they actually leading him astray? If you haven’t read it we would highly recommend it to encourage you along your Christian journey.

Thank you for praying for us at the Rafiki Village in Nigeria. You are greatly appreciated and loved by us and the children. We will be home for Easter 2019 and hope to see many of you when we visit.
