Wishing you a very merry Christmas and happy healthy New Year from Ethiopia.

I have been a missionary for three months and this has been an awesome spiritual experience. The presence of our Lord has been with me each day and this experience has strengthened my walk with Jesus Christ. Being a ChildCare Administrator and teacher has given me many challenges, but prayer and your support have given me the confidence needed to overcome them. Working with Tekle, Village Administrator, and Amy, Headmaster, has been a joy and they have been ever so supportive in everyday activities. I am no longer teaching science, but am blessed to continue teaching math. Every morning, I lead a Bible study with the sixth and seventh graders.

Teaching in the Rafiki School

With the help of Rafiki and my sponsors, I was able to get my visa renewed by going to Rafiki in Uganda for over a week. I was able to work with Compassion International to meet my sponsored child Isabayo Praise, who I have sponsored for many years. What a wonderful reunion! She said that her dreams of meeting me have come true.

Even though we do not celebrate Thanksgiving here in Ethiopia, we will be celebrating Christmas on January 7. I will miss you all this year, especially all the activities at Bell Shoals.
