Eagleman November 2021

We made it back to Liberia!

We want to use the newsletter this month to express our gratitude for all the ways God has been faithful this year.

1. We are thankful for the safe arrival of our son Andrew. He is such a joy to our family. We love seeing Asher become an amazing big brother.

2. We are thankful for the ways God is working through our daily Rafiki Bible Study with our staff, students, and children. We started the year with Genesis and now we are going through Matthew. We know that lives, families, and communities are being transformed by the love of God.

3. We are thankful for our faithful supporters who have continued to support us through COVID when finances may have been strained. It is because of your support and prayers that we are able to be in Liberia working every day to share the love of Jesus.

4. We are thankful for our Rafiki team of missionaries. We lean and depend on each other as we struggle and go through challenges of this ministry.

5. We are thankful for good friends here in Liberia. We love doing life with our missionary friends and seeing our kids play and grow up together.

6. We are thankful for the growth that we see from our teachers in training, Rafiki children, and staff. It is really exciting to see our teachers finish their three years of training and go out into the community. They are now being a positive influence to the students in their classes and communities.

7. We are thankful for all the opportunities we had this year to take our Rafiki children to serve others in our community. We tutored children, led chapel services, painted a school, and read books with kids in the community.

8. We are thankful for the challenges because Romans 5:3-5 tells us, “ Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us .” Jeremy and I have grown SO much over the years, and the challenges of this ministry have brought us into a closer relationship with God.

Please pray for:

  • - All 250 Rafiki Day Students to have sponsors and be fully funded soon.
  • - For generous giving to the Africa Expansion Campaign. Rafiki is entering a season of exponential growth. We anticipate the thousands that Rafiki is currently ministering to across our 10 countries will turn to tens of thousands. To meet these new opportunities, we are asking God for a 25% increase over Rafiki’s current annual budget which could increase Rafiki’s impact 10-fold.

Note : Rafiki is now able to accept non-cash gifts such as real estate or estate bequests. Contact Rafiki@RafikiFoundation.org for more information.

We are thankful for your support and prayers. We pray for you as a family. We are eager to see the ways God continues to work here in Liberia in this coming year.
