Rafiki Foundation  |  God's Word at Work
MENU

Brown Dec 2019

“Rafiki” is Swahili for “friend” and embodies the Foundation’s purpose—to befriend orphans and widows in their distress (James 1:27).

I’d like to invite you to join me in an exciting purpose-driven endeavor in Africa with the Rafiki Foundation. Over the past 30 years, the Rafiki Foundation has established ten Villages in the African countries of Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Ethiopia. These Villages provide living and educational facilities through Rafiki’s five programs: Pre-k through grade 12 schools, Teacher Training Colleges, Orphan Care, the Widows Program, and Bible study. All of the Rafiki Foundation’s programs work together to empower Africans to be principled teachers and leaders in their own country; to help them to improve their standard of living and to transform Africa for Christ.

I’ll go anywhere as long as it’s forward.”

–Dr. David Livingstone

I will serve as needed at the ten Rafiki Villages including village administration, child healthcare, educational leadership, facilities management, new construction management, logistics, affiliate relations, athletics, and special projects. This is not my first experience with Rafiki in Africa. Over the years I have made several trips and served in several roles in the accomplishment of their mission.

I am on my way in the service of the Lord’s people there and request you assist me in my endeavor.

–The Apostle Paul

In order to achieve the Rafiki Foundation’s goals and objectives for 2020, I’m requesting financial support from your organization in the amount of $10,000 to partially fund necessary expenses required over the next year, including: airfare, visas, ground transportation, food, housing, and insurance.

Your financial support will go directly to the Rafiki Foundation which has a full-time administrative staff committed to financial accountability. Rafiki Foundation has maintained good standing with the United States Internal Revenue Service as a 501c(3) Charitable Organization for over 30-years and is highly scored by both the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability and Charity Navigator.

In addition to my commissioned work and in further recognition of your support I will provide you with opportunities to join me in the field in Africa, including social media uploads, a monthly newsletter in electronic format, as well as scheduled interactive webcasts using multi-user applications. I can also work with you to create an internal campaign to engage those in your organization interested in this compassionate adventure to which you are providing your considered charitable support.

Please accept my forthcoming email invitation to visit the Rafiki Foundation website so that you can become more familiar with the Foundation’s mission and the stories of those Africans who have been lifted.
