Bronke November 2021

I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors...you have made known to us the dream of the king” (Daniel 2:23).

Old Testament believers like Abraham, King David, and Daniel looked forward to the coming King, anticipating the day of Christ’s reign. As we approach Thanksgiving season, I am thankful for the privilege we have as believers to look back on Christ’s finished work on the cross. The dream of the One True King is a reality in our lives. I thank and praise God for the opportunity to look back and see His faithfulness in the recent events of the Rafiki Village Ghana.

On November 6, we celebrated the graduation of seven Rafiki students. These seven young men and women were the first group I had the privilege of teaching here. With high hopes, they are on to the next stage of their lives, and I pray the time they had in Rafiki—learning about God and the world He created—will prove fruitful in their lives. We eagerly await the results of their national exams. Please pray that their results qualify them for the programs they wish to study in university. Pray they serve the King with their lives.

I am also thankful for the Home Office’s recent trip to the Village. Our junior high classes displayed artwork for their visitors and relished the opportunity to be pictured with their work. The Lord has blessed them with amazing natural talents and an art teacher who encourages their creativity.

We also had fruitful meetings with our church partners during the Home Office visit, and our partners from the Methodist church are making plans to use the Rafiki Sunday School material on Romans for all their Sunday schools—that’s 4,000 churches! Thank God this solid Bible teaching will be in the hands of so many believers!

Truly, there is much to look back on and be grateful for. As we look forward to the future at the Rafiki Village Ghana, we pray for strength and wisdom to serve well.

The Village is also looking forward to purchasing a tractor to keep up with the lush vegetation we enjoy, and you can help! Approximately 25% of the tractor/mower funds have been given. We would be grateful if you would consider designating some of your year-end giving toward this need. If so, you can read the details here: https://www.rafikifoundation.org/project/ghana-tractor.

Join me as we give thanks to the King who reigns over all things. Surely, He has only good plans for this Village.

Please pray for:

  • All 250 Rafiki Day Students to have sponsors and be fully funded soon.
  • For generous giving to the Africa Expansion Campaign. Rafiki is entering a season of exponential growth. We anticipate the thousands that Rafiki is currently ministering to across our 10 countries will turn to tens of thousands. To meet these new opportunities, we are asking God for a 25% increase over Rafiki’s current annual budget which could increase Rafiki’s impact 10-fold.

Note : Rafiki is now able to accept non-cash gifts such as real estate or estate bequests. Contact Rafiki@RafikiFoundation.org for more information.
