“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 1:3 NIV).

Dear friends and family,

Greetings from Rafiki Village Zambia!

As students in North America are beginning a new school year, we here in East Africa are barreling through our third term and are preparing for national exams. In Zambia, students in Grades 7, 9, and 12 take these exams which determine if a student continues in school at the next level. So they are pretty important.

Question 7: True or False. Rafiki only needs full-time missionaries who are teachers.

Answer: Ok, this is really a trick question. Rafiki does need teachers but we also need people who can sew, manage farms, do accounting, repair cars, keep computers working, run sports camps, and who can train national staff to do all these things.

Question 8: Multiple Choice. The biggest need of Rafiki Foundation is (a) prayer supporters; (b) more long-term missionaries; (c) more short-term missionaries; (d) financial support for programs, orphans, and/or individual missionaries; (e) all of the above.

Answer: E—all of the above.

Bonus question: Which need will you help with? Join or start a prayer group? Go on a short-term missions trip? Answer God’s call to serve Him as a long-term missionary? Financially support someone who has been called to serve? Check out the Rafiki Foundation website for more information.

Final question: Who is most grateful to her supporters for their consistent prayers, financial support, and encouragement.

Answer: Me!!!
