Ghana Village
Ruled by Britain for 110 years, the Gold Coast gained its independence in 1957 and was renamed Ghana. After several decades of power struggle and military coups, Ghana adopted their constitution in 1991. The country has seen relative peace since.
Established in 2001, this Village is the first of the Rafiki Training Villages on the continent. Thirty buildings house the residential, educational, and medical facilities for the staff and children.
