Victoria
Victoria was abandoned by both of her parents at birth and brought to the state-run orphanage in Jos, Nigeria. When she was first screened for the Rafiki Village, she was severely malnourished and in need of emergency care. She arrived at the Rafiki Village Nigeria in 2003. Within three months of her arrival, Vicky gained weight, her coloring changed, and she could stand on her own. She proved to be a joyful and friendly girl, ready to greet everyone with a sweet smile. Vicky has learned about the beauty of forgiveness in the Scriptures and through God's people, and she is thankful for her life at Rafiki. She graduated from the Rafiki School in 2021 and now attends a theological seminary. Vicky is learning more about various African religions and discerning ways to care for others through sharing the gospel. She is thankful that God is always in control, and though she does not always understand why certain things happen, she knows God will be glorified. Vicky prays that her love for God will increase, that God will grant her and her country peace and protection, and that she will gain understanding as she studies.
