Takula

Takula’s mother died in 2005 of a fatal illness, and his father died two years later. Takula then lived with an impoverished aunt who cared for five other children. Though she tried to provide for him, her seasonal income from knitting and embroidery work was not enough. Social welfare approved Takula’s move to the Rafiki Village Malawi, and he arrived in 2008. He quickly flourished under the quality care provided at the Village and was soon seen running around with his new friends. He enjoys being creative and hopes to learn videography as another creative outlet. He is thankful for all the blessings that come with living in a Rafiki Village, especially for the Rafiki Bible Study and the education he receives. Takula praises God for his love and mercy toward him, knowing that he is blessed to live at the Rafiki Village. He prays that he will trust the Lord unceasingly and lean on him for wisdom and understanding.
