Rahab’s mother was unable to care for her and her father remains unknown. Rahab's was in the care of her grandfather before coming to the Rafiki village. Her grandfather was caring for his mentally impaired wife, his daughter, and his grandchildren. He asked for help from the Rafiki Foundation. Rahab was approved by social welfare and arrived at the Rafiki Village Kenya in 2009. She happily adjusted to her new home, and she now loves going to school. Rahab is intelligent and above-average academically. She loves science and reading and is good at badminton and dodge-ball. She has grown spiritually, and her love for God is evident through her listening and participation in Bible lessons.
