My Name is
Kofi

Kofi
In 2006, both of Kofi’s parents died in a vehicular accident while they were transporting their farm produce to a nearby market. Afterward, Kofi and his cousin, Francisca, lived with his impoverished grandfather. His grandfather had no meaningful income and struggled to feed the children. Social welfare services asked the Rafiki Foundation to care for Kofi and his cousin. They arrived at the Rafiki Village Ghana in December 2009 and soon benefited from the quality care, nutritious food, and loving environment at the Village. Kofi enjoys and excels at playing soccer. He says his favorite hymn is "Take My Life and Let It Be" because he knows when you give your life to God, he will bless it and use you in ways that honor him.
