My Name is
Akua

Akua
In 2007, Akua’s mother and father both died of illness a few months apart. She then went to live with her uncle, a struggling farmer. Though he tried, he could not care for and feed both his family and Akua. Social welfare services asked the Rafiki Foundation to take over Akua's care, and she arrived at the Rafiki Village Ghana in 2009. Akua loves to play soccer. In school, Akua excels in reading and her favorite class is Bible. She sees God's faithfulness in her life and thanks Him for her good health, quality education, healthy food, and comfortable home. Akua trusts Jesus as her Savior and sees the fruit of love growing in her life.
