My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB098
Teddy and her two siblings were given to an elderly aunt at the burial of her father. Her father died of AIDs and her mother abandoned the children when she learned the status of her husband. Teddy’s sister came to live at the Rafiki Village Uganda in 2008 and social welfare then spent a year trying to locate the whereabouts of Teddy so the two sisters could be together. Some relatives returned her to her aunt, and she requested that Teddy be placed at the Rafiki Village Uganda. Teddy arrived at her new home in 2009 where she was reunited with her sister Flavia! Teddy is intrigued by human anatomy in her science class. She is particularly grateful that she is wonderfully made by God and every part of her body has a special function to keep it together. She has learned that writing is a powerful tool to influence others and that God Himself wrote and commanded people to write and to keep records. Teddy's teachers are helping her to better her grammar and vocabulary skills and not to be afraid to use the dictionary. She has started to learn cursive and loves to write her name in cursive now!
