My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB064
Tendo and her sister, Josephine, were living in a local hospital in Kampala for some time. They were placed in a temporary home for abandoned children by a child rights organization. After an investigation, the Social Welfare officer determined that the mother abandoned Tendo and her sister. Social welfare recommended that they both be placed at Rafiki as soon as possible. Both sisters came to Rafiki Village Uganda in September 2006. Tendo is now studying divinity, general paper, history, and literature at the advanced level and math at ordinary level. She can sometimes struggle with academics and can finds it difficult to understand how to approach questions and interpret them. She enjoys her divinity class most of all because she loves the Bible and seeks to know God more. Tendo does well with extra-curricular activities and was elected president of the student entrepreneurship club. She also plays netball at school.
