My Name is

Child Village: Malawi
Child ID: CE052
Shadreck lost both his parents early in life. He was being cared for by a widow in a secluded village where his physical and emotional needs were not being met. The widow survived through subsistence farming with no outside income. Shadreck was in desperate need of good nutrition, as there was often not enough food at home. He arrived at Rafiki in October 2007. He likes Legos, taking things apart and fixing them, and gardening. He wants to become a doctor. Shadreck recently participated in a dramatic re-telling of the story of Ali Baba which was performed before the entire school. He is a good abstract and creative thinker who seems to grasp new concepts easily, but his teacher says he is not working up to his full potential and needs to push himself to try harder in his studies.
DOB: Oct 4, 2002
