Rafiki Foundation  |  Training Africans to Transform Africa for Christ

My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB043
Both of Samuels parents died in 2001 soon after he was born. He then was left in the care of his grandmother who was without resources and was a widow. The social welfare district contacted Rafiki and recommended that Samuel be placed with the Rafiki Children’s Center in Uganda. Samuel arrived to his new Rafiki family November 2, 2005 and quickly became acclimated. Now, Samuel is using his logic classes to hone his debating skills. He loves to be able to think critically, to reason, and to listen to others' views. He also enjoys math and is doing well in it. He understands that God is a God of order, so he must make sure he lines up his life in good order! He shared with his Childcare Administrator a Luganda phrase which translates into "an older person who is seated can see further than a young man who is standing." He said this teaches him respect for adults and teachers.
DOB: Sep 22, 2001
