My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB008
Samson was abandoned and taken to a local orphanage. Nothing is known about his background or his family. After an investigation of the situation, the social welfare officer gave the approval for Samson to be moved to the Rafiki Village Uganda. Now, Samson’s favorite school subject is science “because I like to investigate things.” Samson's favorite subjects are physics, math, art, and biology. They encourage him to discover concepts and to look for practical ways to employ them in daily life. He struggles with geography and chemistry, and he is committed to paying greater attention to them. Samson and his classmates went on a field trip to the Masese fish landing site and the Mabira tropical forest. He appreciated the outdoors as a learning experience. He was part of a group that recited Rudyard Kipling's "If" at the end-of-term recitation event. Even though it was not easy, he is thankful that he learned to focus, became confident in public speaking, and gained good posture.
