Rhoda

Child Village: Zambia
Child ID: CF058
Before Rhoda arrived at the Rafiki Village Zambia in January 2012, she lived with her grandmother and eleven other children in a small house. Her mother died in 2009 and her father abandoned her. Food was scarce and there was no opportunity for an education. Rhoda's grandmother contacted the Rafiki Foundation in hopes of a better life for her granddaughter. Rhoda was approved and came to the Village in January of 2012. Today Rhoda is in the 6th grade. Rhoda thinks God has given her a new heart, saved her, and made her His child because He died to save us from sin, death, and hell. When she does something wrong, Rhoda feels bad and guilty. She then thinks she is not a Christian and Jesus will not forgive her. She reads her Bible on her own and prays alone to God. Rhoda says God answers her prayer to heal her when she is sick and when she is sad. Rhoda says she has love, joy, peace, and patience, but she needs to work on self-control, kindness, and faithfulness.
