Rafiki Foundation  |  Training Africans to Transform Africa for Christ

My Name is

Child Village: Nigeria
Child ID: CC107
Reuben’s mother was a commercial sex worker. She gave birth to Reuben in Ibadan. She died in July 2007 after a brief illness, presumably HIV. His father is unknown. Reuben has been in the care of his grandparents who are elderly and very poor. This was a desperate situation and social welfare was eager to find Reuben a home. God was gracious in opening the doors for him to come to Rafiki in 2009. Reuben is an overall excellent student. He has mostly A's and B's on his report card and is interested in learning. When he finishes school, he wants to become a civil engineer. He says God is carving a place in his mind to love learning more. He says education is advanced knowledge in a human being. Education is valuable because it gives him more knowledge of God and will help him earn a living.
