Rafiki Foundation  |  Training Africans to Transform Africa for Christ

My Name is

Child Village: Nigeria
Child ID: CC065
Philip’s mother died in childbirth then his father cared for him until he died of cancer in 2005. He was sent to distant relatives to live but they were having difficulty caring for their own children much less the care of another child. Social welfare then recommended that Philip come to live at the Rafiki Village Nigeria. He arrived at his new home in 2005. Philip has finished his school at the Rafiki Schools. He will take three college entrance exams in the fall. Several teachers take turns prepping the graduates for the WAEC (West Africa Examination), NECO (Nigeria Examination), and JAMB (university entrance exam). Excellent marks are required on each exam to be accepted into a university. He wants to go to Bingham University, where several other Rafiki graduates are attending.
