Paulina’s father died before she was born, and her mother died in 2003. Her relatives were unable to care for her and sought help from Rafiki. She arrived at the Rafiki Village Nigeria in 2004. Paulina wants to make positive contributions to her country. She continues to learn more about God through the Bible. She loves the fact that God is faithful and that He fulfills His promises to His people. She wants to do everything God requires of her. She is willing to serve God with all that is inside of her.

Pierre and his brother were orphaned after both their parents died of AIDS.

Lemmy and his sister, Eva, were living with their grandmother, who did not have the means to feed them every day, before they came to Rafiki.

Deborah’s parents were living in Uganda when they both died from an illness. Deborah and her sister Jane were then brought to Rwanda.

Jerome was abandoned at a local hospital in Kampala, Uganda in 2005.
Kalkidan
Kalkidan was abandoned at a very young age, so his elderly grandparents cared for him.

After his mother died in 2009, Matias lived with his grandmother.
Juliet Babirye
Juliet and her twin brother Kato were brought to a babies' home as young children after they were abandoned by their mother and father.

Awumbe and his brother and sister, Atimbil and Azuma, arrived at the Rafiki Village Ghana in 2010.
