My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB071
Nakato and her three siblings were living in a situation that required immediate intervention according to Uganda social welfare. Their father died in July 2006 from complications due to AIDS and their mother was also HIV+ and not expected to live long. The children are all HIV negative, but they were very thin and anemic when they were found. The mother could no longer care for them and the District removed them from this situation and into the Rafiki Village Uganda. All four children arrived at their new home in November 2006. Now, Nakato's favorite subjects are English, art, biology, and entrepreneurship. In art, she has learned how beautiful God's creation is and that He has given her hands so that she may appreciate that gift. Nakato loves to draw and to paint. In Luganda, she has learned how God gave mankind beautiful words to form languages. In math, she has learned how to calculate and to write numbers in Roman form.
