Rafiki Foundation  |  Training Africans to Transform Africa for Christ

My Name is

Child Village: Kenya
Child ID: CD085
Monicah's mother is believed to be dead, and her father is unknown. Her grandparents cared for her but could no longer continue to do so. The Rafiki Foundation was contacted for help. Social welfare approved Monicah, and she arrived at her new home at Rafiki in November 2009. She soon began to adjust well to her Rafiki Mother and cottage siblings. Monicah is very interested in math, science, PE, and Bible. She is a calm, hardworking student who is orderly and enthusiastic but can struggle to learn new concepts at times. She is learning how to play the violin. Monicah prays for her faith to grow and that she will stand firm when tempted. Monicah is hard-working and shows interest in overall learning. She finds joy in learning Math (surface areas, percentages, and discounts), Physical Education (athletics and ball games, especially soccer), and practicals in any class. She is morally strong and is generally respectful, loving, and calm. She cooperates well with others in and out of class. Her self-esteem is also improving.
