My Name is
Meklit
Meklit
Before arriving at the Rafiki Village Ethiopia, Meklit's grandmother cared for her. The whereabouts of her mother and father remain unknown. Her grandmother sold cooked maize and clothes to gain an income; however, she could not support Meklit. She soon contacted the Rafiki Foundation for help. Meklit was approved and arrived at the Rafiki Village Ethiopia in 2011. Meklit now enjoys read, especially the Bible. She is humble, quiet, and very patient and understanding with others. Her favorite hymn is "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" because it reminds her that Jesus died in her place to save her.
