Her father died when she was two and her mother died eighteen months later before she was four-years-old. She and her younger brother have been at a babies’ home since February 2005. Their two older siblings are staying with a family who was able to care for them. Kasayoka and her brother were referred by Social Welfare to the Rafiki Village in Kenya in order to enter a more permanent home setting. Both of them arrived in October 2005, where they are now in a family of siblings and a loving Rafiki Mother. Kasyoka (Nancy) enjoys learning in Geograpy, Kiswahili, and Biology classes. She does well in every academic subject and also in sports. She is kind, polite, loving, and obedient. She completes her assignments in a timely manner. She has improved in Kiswahili, Physical Education, self-control, and being socially comfortable with everyone. She is working hard, but she is struggling a bit with Math.
