Joshua

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB104
Joshua's parents were killed in 2010 in mudslides that buried an entire village and the families living there. Joshua, his twin brother Gideon, and older sister Mercy, survived. After an investigation by a social welfare officer, it was agreed to move the siblings to the Rafiki Village Uganda. The children quickly began to thriving in their new environment with nutritious food, a bed of their own, and the opportunity to attend school. Joshua loves working with difficult and hard-to-understand things, including math, his favorite subject! He is a capable young man with the potential to excel in every subject. His best subjects at this time are math, science, and social studies. He is receiving help for Luganda and grammar. In science, Joshua learned that God has wonderfully made human bodies from cells, tissue, and organs, and together they function to keep a person alive. He and his classmates acted out the functions of the digestive system and had a lot of fun learning by role-play.
