Rafiki Foundation  |  Training Africans to Transform Africa for Christ

My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB063
Josephine and her sister, Tendo, were living in a local hospital in Kampala for some time. They were placed in a temporary home for abandoned children by a child rights organization. After an investigation, the Social Welfare officer determined that the mother abandoned Josephine and her sister long ago. Social welfare recommended they be placed at Rafiki as soon as possible. Both sisters came to live at Rafiki Village Uganda in September 2006. Now, Josephine is doing well in math, history, and entrepreneurship. She enjoys biology, which helps her know more about God and creation. History helps her know how people lived in the past and their impact on their country. Josephine is receiving help for literature and geography because she can struggle to keep up with the many required readings. She has learned to handle the microscope while examining algae at the base of jerrycans and mold on old bread.
