My Name is

Hope

Hope

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB084
Hope was brought to the attention of Rafiki by a ministry in Mbale, Uganda. Hope’s father died HIV+ and his mother was also living HIV+ and was very sick. She wanted Hope placed in a good home before she died. She was concerned about his future and what would happen to him when she died. He had no living relatives that could take care of him. At Rafiki, Hope now has a family, a future, and a hope – like his beautiful name! Hope's favorite subjects are math and physics because he is fond of numbers and enjoys crunching them. He likes to read the Bible and his geography and history textbooks, and he tries to connect their content to real life. In his science classes, he has understood that God has made man and woman in His image and that the Big Bang Theory is wrong. Hope is intentional in thinking critically and tries to present his arguments cogently to win over his listeners.
