Eunice
Eunice
Eunice's father died when she was two years old, and her mother died a year later. Eunice stayed with her grandmother for a while, but her grandmother was soon unable to care for Eunice and her younger sister, Mary. The sisters arrived at the Rafiki Village Nigeria in 2004. Eunice says that she is always in awe of God's grace and mercy in her life. She has learned to accept that God gives her what she needs, and she is learning to trust God with her future.

Isaac’s mother died an hour after she gave birth to him, and his father shortly abandoned him after he was born.
Gadissa
Gadissa, along with his sister Feyise, were orphaned in 2008 and placed in the care of an impoverished aunt.

Augustus, his twin brother Augustine, and his older brother Gideon arrived at the Rafiki Village Ghana in 2010.

Joanna
Joanna is one of three triplets. She and her sisters, Jennifer and Janet, arrived at the Rafiki Village Ghana in 2002.

Leticia's parents died of HIV in 2010. She and her brother were brought to live with their aunt, but she was unable to care for them.

Gertrude (Trudy) was orphaned after her father and mother died within a year of each other.

Before arriving at the Rafiki village, Ben and his five siblings lived with their grandmother, along with her six children, in a one-room house.
Jennifer
Jennifer's parents passed away in 2004. She arrived at the Rafiki Village Nigeria in March 2007.
Rose
Rose's mother passed away in 2005, and her father remains unknown.

James was referred to the Rafiki Foundation by a social worker from a group in the Presbyterian Church of East Africa.
