My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB056
The Mukono District Social Worker recommended that Diana be removed from the care of her aunt because her aunt had difficulty feeding her own children. Her sister, Scovia, was placed at Rafiki Village in 2005, and Diana was able to join her sister in Cottage 6. She was then placed in the same room with Scovia in June 2006. Soon after her arrival, Diana started in the Rafiki School and began to thrive. Diana loves numbers and enjoys any subject that requires deep thought. Her particular preferences are math, physics, and geography. She struggles with chemistry and is seeking help to improve in it. Diana and her classmates were on a field trip to the source of the river Nile. She learned about the impact of the fishing industry on the Ugandan economy. She conducted a science experiment to test for starch and looks forward to using the method to test for other food substances.
