Christine

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB026
Christine was found alone and was admitted to a babies' home in September 2004. She arrived at Rafiki Village Uganda in April 2005. She now enjoys living and learning at the village. Christine’s favorite school subject is science “because I like to learn about the germs which cause disease.” Christine’s favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 7:9: “. . . if you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand firm at all” because “Jesus said we should be firm in faith.” Christine's favorite subjects are math and biology because they are practical and interesting. She has asked for and is receiving help in Luganda and history. In a recent biology class, she was fascinated by the microscope which enabled her to look at the cells of a leaf. She also conducted experiments that tested the amount of starch and sugar in food substances. In her logic classes, she appreciates learning how to state claims, argue reasonably, and draw good conclusions.
