Christina

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB034
Christina and her two sisters were orphaned as small children and were living with their grandmother. Though their aging grandmother tried to provide them, she wanted them to have a better life. Christina and her sisters arrived to their new home at Rafiki Village in September 2005. They were placed within the same cottage and quickly began to bond well with their Rafiki Mother. In fact, one day shortly after their arrival, they were joyfully playing and blowing soap bubbles under a mango tree with their new mom! Christina now enjoys biology and math because she wants to become a doctor in the future. She is trying her best to be well-versed in many things, and she continues to play the saxophone in music class. She was recently chosen to be part of a group that recited a piece on education in Luganda. She struggled with pronunciation and fluency, but she was successful in her recitation and was thankful for the support of many in the Village. She likes her logic classes which train her to think critically and to solve difficult problems.
DOB: Aug 16, 2002
