My Name is
Betty

Betty
Both of Betty’s parents died when she was young. Her mother contracted cerebral malaria, and her father died in a car accident. She then moved in with her aunt for a time. Though she tried, her aunt could not provide for Betty's basic needs and asked the Rafiki Foundation for help. Betty arrived at the Zambia Village in July 2008. She is now a resourceful, alert, and compassionate young woman with a bright future ahead of her. She continues to learn to lead others with love and courage. Betty also enjoys writing poetry, short stories, and songs, and she asks God to help her write.
