Rafiki Foundation  |  Training Africans to Transform Africa for Christ

My Name is

Child Village: Nigeria
Child ID: CC053
Both of Barnabas’ parents were killed during the religious riots in 2004 in a village about two hours away from Jos, Nigeria. He was living with the pastor of the village for the months following until Rafiki was contacted by a local relief group to investigate taking some of the orphans from this village. Barnabas, along with two other children were admitted to the Rafiki Village Nigeria in 2004. Barnabas is a fairly good student who likes school, but he struggles in math and physics. He excels in computer science and technical drawing. He says God is helping him understand more of the basic concepts. He says the teacher who has helped him learn the most is his geography teacher. Barnabas says education gives us an upper hand in making this world a better place to live.
