Rafiki Foundation  |  Training Africans to Transform Africa for Christ

My Name is

Child Village: Tanzania
Child ID: CH058
Baraka’s mother abandoned him and his father is unknown. He was living with his impoverished grandparents, but they have little income and could not provide for his basic needs or schooling. Social Welfare, his grandparents, and the Rafiki staff agreed that the best place for Baraka was at Rafiki Village Tanzania. Baraka has made a big transition this term from Grade 3 to Grade 4. This is the transition that usually gives the child the message that school is now a serious matter. Baraka has done well in the transition. By working hard on in reading and spelling, Baraka can do well in all academic subjects. He is preparing for his Grade 4 national exam this year, so he needs to learn to work on memorization for his national subjects. He will do well, but he needs to learn that working on schoolwork has benefits.
