My Name is

Child Village: Uganda
Child ID: CB039
Alice’s mother and father died and left three children in the care of an uncle. They lived in a mud house. Social services recommended removing the two youngest children, Alice and her brother Wilson, from the guardian because he was unable to care for them. The eldest stayed with the uncle and the district provided school fees and other opportunities for him. Alice and her brother Wilson came to Rafiki Village Uganda in September 2005. Alice is now a terrific basketball player who enjoys being on a team. Alice prefers science subjects over the arts. She is able to grasp concepts effectively. She and her classmates went on a field trip to the Masese fishing industries to learn about the impact this industry has on the Ugandan economy. Alice recently successfully conducted an experiment to test for starch and sugar in different food substances; she loves being in the science laboratory! She draws for relaxation and reads widely to increase her knowledge and understanding.
