So far 2016 has been full of unexpected changes and new opportunities. We are excited to announce that we have been commissioned to serve at the Rafiki Village in Liberia.
Well, it’s the holiday season and you have all just celebrated Thanksgiving and are deep in the spirit of Christmas or at least the shopping spirit. We, on the other hand, are coming to the end of our school year and so the children have the wiggles—much like spring fever in the U.S. Add that to the anticipation of Christmas and you have a pretty good idea what my days look like.
As Sherri is leading the Rafiki Mothers’ weekly Rafiki Bible Studies, and Mike leads the employees, we are seeing how the church is united. There is not an American church and a Liberian church. We are all one, praising God that we will be united one day in Heaven.
Rafiki Village Liberia, like all of our ten Villages, is a community of children, national staff, and missionaries. We currently have sixty-eight resident children, fifty national staff, and four missionaries who are a part of the Village.
