My Name is
Patience
Patience
Patience’s mother died a month after she was born. Her father was killed a year later in a farming accident. She and her half brother, Moses, were placed in the care of their uncle. He struggled to support both his family and his niece and nephew. The children were referred to the Rafiki Foundation and arrived at the Rafiki Village Liberia in 2010. Patience soon proved to be a kind young woman with lots of personality. Patience enjoys studying math because it makes her think through problems and find a solution. She thinks she would like to be a soccer player when she grows up. Patience knows that Jesus died for her sins and advocates for her in heaven. She loves the hymn "Trust and Obey" because she knows that if she trusts and obeys God, she will be with Him in paradise one day.
