My Name is
Meklit
Meklit
Before arriving at the Rafiki Village Ethiopia, Meklit's grandmother cared for her. The whereabouts of her mother and father remain unknown. Her grandmother sold cooked maize and clothes to gain an income; however, she could not support Meklit. She contacted the Rafiki Foundation for help and Meklit arrived at the Rafiki Village Ethiopia in 2011. Meklit is humble, quiet, and very patient and understanding with others. She praises God for his unceasing love for his children and strives to mirror that love to others. After graduation, she hopes to become a software engineer. Meklit prays that she will live according to God’s will and be patient and self-controlled.
